Clemmer Classic "Smash Cancer" Pickleball Tournament October 21-22, 2023

The Clemmer Classic "Smash Cancer" Tournament has partnered with AmeriSports Athletic Center in Rockwall, Texas to introduce this brand new indoor, air-conditioned, 12 lined pickleball court venue.

• Saturday, October 21st: Men's and Women's Doubles starting at 9:00 a.m.

• Sunday, October 22nd:

- Mixed Doubles starting at 9:00 a.m.

- Wheelchair Divisions starting a 11:00 a.m. 4 wheelchair divisions plus a hybrid wheelchair division)

This tournament is in honor of USA Pickleball Ambassador Jamie Bunch Elliott. She played 10+ years as a standing player when in 2019 she was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Chondrosarcoma. She now plays in a sports wheelchair. Her motto is, "Where there's a wheel, there's a way." Jamie is a true inspiration to everyone she meets and she has been a trailblazer in the world of Pickleball! She is a sponsored athlete of Chicken N Pickle and PaddleTek. She is who encouraged me to become an Ambassador of Pickleball. Come out and play, meet Jamie and see the new facility!

We will have four Age Divisions:

• 21-34

• 35-49

• 50-65

• 65+

Teams will be limited to 5 per division, so sign up early as space is limited.

We will have 3 skill levels using the Pickleballbrackets rating system:

• 2.0 to 2.99 (For ratings 2.0-2.99, Ages 35-49 and 50+ only)

• 3.0 to 3.5 (For players rating between 3.0 to 3.49)

• 3.5+ (For players ratings 3.5 and above)

Register in the bracket that you will be challenged and that is your rating bracket. We will look at your past ratings and determine if you are in the correct bracket according to your ratings from other tournaments, and you may be moved to fit your correct pool.

Registration: All registrations will be managed through PickleballBrackets

1. Both players on a team must register separately. A player may choose a partner, however, the partner must register within five days or the team will be moved to the waitlist.

2. All start times are subject to change and events might be merged or split based on event registration.

Tournament Pricing: 4 games guaranteed per event

1. Tourney registration $60.00 (this includes your first event)

2. Additional event $10.00 (maximum number of events is 2)

3. Service fee/event $5.00 (Nonrefundable)

4. Discount Codes: (you MUST enter the code to receive the discount)

   1. Seniors 65+ will see a code to receive $15.00 off your registration fee. Seniors' Code = SRDISC65

   2. Wheelchair Players will see a code to receive $20.00 off your registration fee. Wheelchair Player Code = WCHAIRDISC

5. Refund Policy

   1. Requests for refunds before October 15, 2023 will incur a $20.00 processing fee. Pickleballbrackets service fees are nonrefundable. There will be NO refunds after registration closes on October 15, 2023.
